Campanile ideas for stays, week ends and events

At this exhibition in Bordeaux, Jim Shaw exhibits his latest work, consisting of fifteen monumental paintings accompanied by sculptures, which will be displayed in the main hall of the museum. He offers a neurotic vision of America, somewhere between a dream and a nightmare. In landscapes scattered with ancient theatrical stage sets the subjects painted by the artist seem to float like ghosts.Painting, drawing, sclptures, video art: the artist has employed many different media to express himself since he began his artistic career in the 70s. Shaw draws his inspiration from art history over the years, including: comics, rock music, B movies, paintings unearthed at flea markets ... and in recent years in objects which use the apocalyptic imagery which he explores in this exhibition.
